The archiving feature provides a date stamp each time an ordinance or plan is amended and published (from the build forward) resulting in a rolling historical record of amendments. Footnotes may be added to individual sections, showing ordinance/resolution/case numbers, adoption and effective dates.
These records are then stored long-term in the cloud. They can be recalled by ordinance/resolution/case number, date or keyword, and then displayed with a clear “archive” watermark.
Retroactive ordinance archives can even be created for ordinances NOT originally built on the enCodePlus platform.
Plans or ordinance archives can be established by retroactively building an original ordinance and then amending it with subsequently adopted ordinances. This retroactive build includes re-creation of tables and graphics from the original documents, with tagged definitions and hyperlinked cross references. Often, this includes digitizing a trove of paper ordinances, PDFs and electronic files of different types.
