In 2023, the town of Blythewood, SC partnered with Kendig Keast Collaborative to update their Land Development Ordinance and create a new Annexation Policy. The team used enCodePlus’ CloudWriter to draft the new regulations, which enabled all editors to work together in an online space where changes could be seen in real time, without the need to share Word or PDF documents back and forth.
Several enCodePlus features help to make the adopted regulations easier for users to navigate and understand. Hyperlinked internal cross-references enable users to access related information quickly and pop-up definitions clarify terminology. Quick Tables, Development Calculators, and GIS tools enhance accessibility by allowing users to apply the regulations to real-world situations. In addition, an eReader offers an alternative option to view the regulations in a book format.
By choosing to work with Kendig Keast Collaborative and enCodePlus, the town of Blythewood was able to ensure their new Land Development Ordinance would be modern, attractive, and easy to use.
