Since 2014, the city of Lenexa, Kansas, has been using enCodePlus to host their City Code and Policies, creating easy access to their most important planning documents: City Code (including a Unified Development Code), Charter Ordinances, Administrative Policy Manual, and Governing Body Policies. Their portal provides a convenient place to explore one or more of these documents as needed.
Each document contains hyperlinked cross-references and definitions to elevate the user’s understanding of the code. The portal’s search feature further enhances accessibility, allowing users to search for specific terms and receive results from all codes and policies included in the portal. In addition, resource links to the city’s Comprehensive Plan, Design Standards, and Development Guidebooks help users find information they need outside of the City Code and Policies.
Lenexa city staff continues to maintain their City Code in their enCodePlus portal, ensuring ongoing access for staff and citizens alike.
